The American Law Institute announced on October 19, 2017, that Jordan Elias, a Girard Sharp partner, has been elected as a new member of the Institute. ALI members are prominent judges, lawyers, and law professors who are confidentially nominated by their peers, vetted by ALI’s Membership Committee, and elected by the ALI Council. Mr. Elias’s work has resulted in favorable decisions for consumers in cases against anticompetitive cartels, monopolists, oil and tobacco companies, and the nation’s largest banks. The author of several well-regarded law review articles, he serves as Coordinating Editor for the American Bar Association’s Survey of Federal Class Action Law.
