Providence and Legacy Health Warns Over 2400 Patients of Possible Exposure to Hepatitis & HIV
Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center is an Oregon City hospital with over 300 doctors and health care professionals. Officials are reporting that an anesthesiologist who may not have followed infection control practices potentially exposed over 2,400 patients to serious diseases, including hepatitis and HIV. The same anesthesiologist is reported to have worked at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, where over 200 additional patients may have been affected. Providence and Legacy Health have stated that notifications are being sent in the mail and through MyChart to affected patients.
