Adam Polk Appointed Co-Lead Counsel in James Hardie Shareholder Litigation

Girard Sharp partner Adam Polk has been appointed Co-Lead Counsel in In re James Hardie Industries PLC Shareholder Litigation (Consolidated No. 2026-CH-01681) in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, Chancery Division. The consolidated action brings together two related class actions filed on behalf of shareholders alleging harm caused by James Hardie Industries PLC and its current and former executives and directors. 

Judge Patrick Stanton entered the leadership order on May 5, 2026, appointing Adam alongside David Hall of The Hall Firm, as Co-Lead Counsel. Gary Klinger of Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips Grossman has been appointed Liaison Counsel.  

The appointment adds to Adam’s record of court-appointed leadership in complex securities and shareholder litigation, including his prior co-lead counsel role in In re Maxar Technologies, Inc. Shareholder Litigation, which resolved for $36.5 million.
