Maya advocates for consumers and survivors of sexual abuse in mass torts, class actions, and other complex litigation.
Maya has been a member of the leadership team in the multidistrict litigation against Uber on behalf of passengers who were sexually assaulted by drivers. Most recently, she was an instrumental part of the winning bellwether trial team in the Uber Passenger Sexual Assault Litigation. She also serves on the Plaintiff Strategy Committee of the Roblox Child Sexual Exploitation multidistrict litigation.
Maya earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. In addition to her coursework, Maya interned for the California Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Section and the Federal Trade Commission. Maya also participated in Berkeley Law’s Consumer Justice Clinic with the East Bay Community Law Center.
Before attending law school, Maya was a policy advisor for United States Senator Richard Blumenthal in Washington, D.C. Maya handled consumer protection policy matters for the Senator in his capacity as Ranking Member of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection.
