Biography

Trevor Tan focuses on consumer protection class actions and other complex civil litigation, specializing in legal research and writing. He has been honored as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers since 2019 and was named to Best Lawyers’ “Ones to Watch” list in 2022.

Trevor has considerable experience working in judicial chambers. Before joining Girard Sharp, he clerked for the Honorable Fernando M. Olguin of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Trevor also clerked for Judges of the Los Angeles County Superior Court and the court’s Appellate Division, and served as an extern for the Honorable George H. Wu in the Central District of California.

Trevor received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 2011. During law school, in addition to serving as a judicial extern, he served as a law clerk with the Illinois Attorney General. He also served as a child advocate with the school’s immigrant child advocacy clinic and worked on behalf of immigrant children from China. After law school, Trevor represented unaccompanied minors in removal proceedings as a fellow at the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights.
