The interview focused on the 119-page lawsuit filed on behalf of a Denver family whose minor daughter was sexually exploited and groomed through these popular platforms. London outlined how both Roblox and Meta have designed systems that allow predators to access, groom, and exploit vulnerable children while neglecting to establish adequate protective measures.
Despite public assurances about user safety, the lawsuit alleges that both companies place revenue growth above child protection. The young victim experienced devastating psychological consequences, including hospitalizations, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm after being coerced into sending sexually explicit images.
The lawsuit joins growing nationwide litigation against gaming and social media companies, alongside ongoing investigations by multiple state attorneys general. The case seeks both justice for our client and broader industry reforms to better protect minors online.
