CooperSurgical IVF Solution Investigated After Embryo Deaths

In December 2023, two individuals filed a lawsuit against CooperSurgical, alleging that the company sold defective culture media used to grow embryos during the IVF process which led to the death of their embryos. That same month, CooperSurgical issued a recall of some of its embryo culture media, noting that there was a risk of “impaired embryo development.”
