Delta Dental Breach Reportedly Exposed Over 7 Million Customers
Delta Dental of California is a dental insurance provider that is part of a national organization with over 44 million customers. On June 1 2023, Delta Dental of California discovered that their system had been compromised in a cybersecurity breach involving its MoveIT Transfer Application. The exposed information reportedly may include: names, financial account numbers, and credit/debit card numbers, including security codes, addresses, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers or other state identification numbers, passport numbers, financial account information, tax identification numbers, individual health insurance policy numbers and health information.
Delta Dental of California began notifying customers affected by the breach in late 2023.
