Evolv Stock Drops 40% Following Securities Fraud Claims
Evolv is a security technology company focused on utilizing AI-based screening to create safe experiences in markets including education, healthcare, sports, and live entertainment. On November 1, 2024 a complaint was filed against Evolv, alleging them of securities fraud between August 19, 2022 and October 30, 2024. The complaint states that there were “material misstatements in the Company’s financial statements prepared for the periods between the second quarter of 2022 and the second quarter of 2024 relating to Evolv’s revenue recognition and other reported metrics that are a function of revenue.” The Company’s stock has dropped approximately 40% following this news.
