Hyundai Under Investigation After Dozens Report Seatbelt Defects

On August 7, 2024, the National Highway Traffic Safety (NHTSA) opened an investigation into 2020-2023 Hyundai Palisade vehicles due to defective seatbelts that may “inadvertently unlatch” while the vehicle is in motion. The NHTSA is currently working to determine if over 330,000 Hyundai Palisade vehicles should be recalled.
