FBI Investigates LeFever Mattson After Investor Money “Disappears”
LeFever Mattson is a California-based property management company that is part of a group of companies owned by Timothy LeFever and Kenneth Mattson. Together these companies own more than 257 properties valued at $413 million across 14 counties. In early May 2024, according to the SF Chronicle, Timothy LeFever told investors that their money may have disappeared and “accused [Kenneth] Mattson of engaging in a ‘secretive scheme’ to deposit money from investors into his own accounts rather than investing it in a limited partnership fund with LeFever — as he had purportedly told them he would.” The FBI announced that it is investigating LeFever Mattson and raided Mattson’s home in late May 2024.
