More Information About the McKesson Data Breach

McKesson, a pharmaceutical and medical supply distribution company, detected a cybersecurity incident affecting its information systems on August 25, 2026. The company stated that unauthorized access to third-party applications and exfiltration of customer data occurred within its Oncology & Multispecialty and Medical-Surgical business units. Hackers claim to have stolen 284 million data records. These records may contain names, addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers, patient IDs, Medicaid details, medical record numbers, medication and allergy information, and physician information.
