NOxBOXi Units Due To Critical Failure During Use

The NOxBOXi, manufactured by NOxBOX Ltd., provides nitric oxide therapy to support the breathing of newborns and neonates. NOxBOX Ltd. recalled some NOxBOXi units distributed between May 2021 and February 2023 after discovering a misalignment in the check valves in the devices’ manifolds. This defect could lead to manifold failure, potentially causing gas leaks and interruptions in nitric oxide therapy. Disruptions to nitric oxide therapy may cause serious injury or death in infants.
