More Information on the UCLA Data Breach 

UCLA is a large public research university with over 45,000 students and over 7,500 faculty and staff members. On June 1, 2023, UCLA discovered that their system had been compromised in a cybersecurity breach involving their MoveIT Transfer Application. UCLA notified its students, faculty and staff of the breach in a notice sent in late June 2023.
